The PATT ADHD Support service has been created to try to meet the overwhelming need of families, schools and professionals to find out more about ADHD and how to support children, young people and adults living with neurodivergence.
Whilst both ADHD Support and SENDIASS sit under the PATT “umbrella” they are separate services with separate aims and funding streams.
The PATT ADHD Support Service has been created and funded in partnership with Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions (TLS) as it was recognised that a significant proportion of SENDIASS queries and requests for support had issues with ADHD at their core.
Over the 10 years that PATT SENDIASS has been in operation, Mo James has undertaken extensive training and developed a deep knowledge and understanding of the challenges that ADHD families face, together with her 50+ years lived experience of many aspects of disability and neurodiversity which she uses to support families and young people to have a greater understanding and positive outlook on living with neurodivergence.
The SENDIAS Service is commissioned, and solely funded by Thurrock Council to deliver information, advice and support around all aspects of SEND, as per their statutory duty. PATT has held this contract for 10 years. SENDIASS offers impartial information advice and support around all aspects of Special Educational Needs & Disability to parents, carers, children and young people up to the age of 25. We offer an empowerment model to support families with SEN Support, school relationships, EHCPs, Exclusions, Preparing for Adulthood and much more.
